Thomas S. Coleman is Of Counsel at Butler Pappas.
Tom joined Butler Pappas with the opening of its Philadelphia office. His practice primarily entails advising and representing insurance companies in complex first party matters and subrogation cases. Prior to joining Butler Pappas, Tom worked as a coverage litigator in Philadelphia for approximately 10 years. Tom is actively barred in both Pennsylvania and Maryland.
Tom's practice regularly involves participation in the defense of cases involving catastrophic loss, including the regular culprits of collapse, fire/explosion, flood, and wind damage. He also, all too frequently in his opinion, is called upon to defend cases involving suspected insurance fraud, which he has a proven track record of winning. The primary venue for Tom's practice is the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and Philadelphia's Court of Common Pleas.
