Sean P. Ravenel is a Partner at Butler Pappas.
He practices in the subrogation department, focusing on several areas of large loss subrogation and self-insured recovery, including construction defects, crane accidents, industrial fire and flood losses, and product failure claims, as well as other complex multi-party subrogation matters. Sean handles losses and claims in states throughout the Southeast, as well as many states in the mid-Atlantic, the Midwest, and the Northeast. He frequently gives presentations on subrogation recovery topics to adjusters and other insurance and subrogation professionals.
Sean is a member of The Florida Bar and has been admitted to practice in all state courts in Florida as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, and The Order of Barristers. Sean is also Chair of the Florida Chapter of the National Association of Subrogation Professionals (NASP).
Prior to joining the firm, Sean served in the United States Marine Corps and worked with the U.S. Department of State. He also spent several years working in the mineral mining industry. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of LaVerne in Athens, Greece, and his Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law. While in law school, Sean served as an intern at the Florida Supreme Court.
