Stephen litigates on behalf of individuals, public and private companies on a statewide basis involving complex high exposure lawsuits in the following areas: bad faith, construction, crane accidents, environmental, excess coverage, medical malpractice, premises liability, products liability, professional liability, toxic torts and trucking cases. His professional experience includes trials and mediations in the state of Florida. Stephen also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Steven Levine, of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida in 2001.
Stephen is a member of The Florida Bar and the Dade County Bar Association. He has been admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
Stephen is a graduate of Wesleyan University (2000) (B.A., in Classic Spanish Literature and American Government), and graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law (2003). While attending the University of Miami School of Law, Stephen served as a member of the Honor Council, the Moot Court Board, an Associate Editor of the International and Comparative Law Review, a First-Year Senator of the Student Bar Association and was a winner of the First Year Moot Court Competition.
In June 2009, Stephen began his second two-year term as a member of the Board of Governors of the 21,000-member Young Lawyers Division of The Florida Bar. Stephen has also been selected to the "Rising Stars" list of the Super Lawyers - Florida Edition magazine for 2009, a group of the top 2.5% of Florida lawyers aged 40 and younger, as well as Florida Trend magazine's "Florida Legal Elite - Best Up and Coming Florida Attorneys 2009" list.
