Hobart M. Hind Jr.


Hobart M. Hind, Jr. is a Partner at Butler Pappas. He practices extensively in several areas of large loss subrogation and self-insured recoveries including construction defects, large scale turbine damage, large scale industrial fires, flooding losses, universal product failure claims, and complex multi-party subrogation matters.

Mr. Hind has attended and conducted several presentations conducted by the firm on behalf of many insurers. These presentations focus on all recovery related issues. Mr. Hind has assisted several companies creating large loss recovery programs that focus on immediate loss response, coordination of all evidence related issues, and quick involvement of potentially responsible parties. Mr. Hind has also been a featured presenter at the National Association of Subrogation Professionals' Annual Conference and the Florida Windstorm Conference.

Mr. Hind is a member of The Florida Bar, the State Bar of Georgia and the American Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in all state courts in Florida and Georgia as well as the United States District Court for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida and the Northern District of Georgia. Mr. Hind handles losses and claims in states throughout the Southeast, as well as many states in the mid-Atlantic, the Midwest and the Northeast.

Mr. Hind has practiced with Butler Pappas since 1996. He graduated from Georgia State College of Law in 1995. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1992, where he was a Presidential and National Merit Scholar. For two years he served on the National Competition Mock Trial Team for Georgia State. During his third year of law school, Mr. Hind served as an assistant prosecutor for the Fulton County Solicitor General's Office where he gained considerable criminal trial experience.
