Scott focuses his practice on commercial litigation. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1990. He received his Juris Doctorate from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 1993.
Scott's commercial litigation practice includes representing clients in contract disputes, environmental litigation, toxic tort lawsuits, intellectual property cases, fiduciary disputes, agency litigation, securities litigation, product liability claims and a wide variety of other commercial disputes. Scott is admitted to practice before all state courts in Florida, the United States District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts and the Eleventh and Eighth Circuit Courts of Appeal. Prior to joining Butler Pappas, Scott was a partner with a national law firm in Orlando, Florida where he focused on commercial litigation and was hiring partner for the firm.
Scott's commercial practice has included contract litigation in numerous industries, including resort development, timeshare, real estate, financing and lending, engineering, healthcare, automotive manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, mining, securities, insurance, entertainment, and shipping.
