Lee Craig is a Partner at Butler Pappas.
He was born in Annapolis, Maryland. Lee earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Maryland School of Law. After graduating from law school, he served for two years as law clerk to the Honorable Clarence E. Goetz, Chief United States Magistrate Judge, United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
Lee is an experienced trial and appellate lawyer. He has concentrated his practice on the defense of first-party insurance matters. Lee has particular expertise in cases of alleged fraud, as well as "bad faith" and other consequential damages litigation. He is peer review rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell.
Lee has always been in demand as a speaker for industry groups. He lectures often on topics of practical and scholarly interest to insurance executives, risk managers and defense attorneys. Also, he has written widely on topics of "bad faith" law and property insurance.
